the job you’re meant to do
I’m trying not to get too caught up in that phrase. I have played out in my head several career paths and I still am not quite sure where I fit in. I felt pretty sure before college it was architecture, then in college it was interior design and now out of college it’s nonprofit work…(trust me, there were several more majors in there before I stuck with one). We got to enjoy Ira Glass this weekend and someone in the crowd asked him how you get to a place where you’re doing the job you love and are obviously meant to do. He said it took him 10 years…and that it’s ‘ok to wander’. I found his response so very comforting…
