that storm

I don’t even know how to describe it except for we were very lucky. We’re fine, our house is fine, those we know are fine. But so many other are not. I couldn’t help but think about people who no longer had their own home to sleep in, they lost their most important memories, they knew or didn’t yet know they lost someone important to them. Peoples lives were forever changed, my heart breaks for them. I have no doubt they’ll be supported, loved on, cared for and protected by our community but it doesn’t change the hard fact of ‘loss’.

I hope the beautiful sunshine today provided some hope and reassurance for them. God is present even if there are clouds in our view and His light will be shed to reveal, reshape and reconnect.
